"The Best Introduction to Bangladesh We Could Have Asked For. "Wow! What an incredible day tour we had with Arafat, our guide today. We can't say enough about our fantastic experience exploring Dhaka with Panorama Bangladesh. Liton, our driver, was excellent — professional, calm, and incredibly skilled at navigating the heavy traffic of this vibrant city. He kept us safe, was always right where we needed him, and even chatted with us throughout the day. Even though our flight arrived two hours late and we started much later than planned, Arafat still managed to include everything promised — plus a few wonderful surprises. He shared a wealth of information about Bangladesh's history, geography, religion, culture, food, and daily life. His personal stories had us laughing as we walked, and we felt as if we were exploring the city with a friend rather than a guide we had just met. He remained relaxed, warm, and outgoing all day, even as he kept thinking on his feet and adjusted our route so we didn't miss a thing. Our walks through the wholesale markets of Old Dhaka, the Hindu temple area, the Armenian Church, and the Star Mosque were fascinating. We enjoyed watching a wedding feast, riding a rickshaw through the narrow lanes of Old Dhaka, and taking a traditional boat across the river to experience the incredible water traffic. We wandered through the lively dock area and even toured one of the large riverboats before its departure. We visited the Pink Palace Museum, explored Lalbagh Fort, and even stopped by the parliament buildings. Looking back now, I can't believe we fit all of this into one day. Arafat treated us to traditional tea and ice cream, and we ended our tour with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant — biriyani, chicken curry, salad, naan, and the most wonderful rice pudding and yoghurt. It was a perfect end to a perfect day. This tour gave us an authentic feel for the heart of Dhaka and the everyday lives of its people. Everywhere we went, locals greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. Arafat was always attentive, making sure we stayed together and felt comfortable. In the end, he even accompanied us to our hotel and helped coordinate our airport transfer—an incredibly thoughtful gesture. He went above and beyond for us in every way. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to explore this fascinating country with him. We are deeply grateful for this unforgettable experience. It was everything we hoped for and more.""
